LUIZA PAES AT CALTECH

Luiza Paes
Caltech Tango Club is ecstatic to host the amazing Luiza Paes, partner to Norberto "Pulpo" Esbrez!! Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn from a great teacher!

VIDEO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLgqRT6NGoE

BIO  LUIZA PAES studied music since she was six, for many years working in musical education and vocal technique. As a new form of musical expression, Luiza studied Argentine Tango with Norberto "Pulpo" Esbrez in Sao Paulo. Starting as a class assistant in his Sao Paulo studio, she later became his partner.

As “Pulpo & Luiza” they traveled to the United States, Europe and Asia to perform and teach various tango workshops. In March of 2000, Luiza taught with Norberto at the II CITA (International Congress of Argentine Tango) in Buenos Aires, and her solo class “Musical Interpretation” was met with great success. Since 2005 Luiza has organized “Pulpo’s Tango Week,” a festival in Buenos Aires -- a friendly gathering of Tango dancers from all over the world.

Luiza teaches all levels of technique, emphasizing the leader and follower's roles, improvisation and the ability to adapt, which is what a tango dancer must develop in order to follow different styles.
