The Caltech Ballroom Dance Club is pleased to present its fourth annual Dance of the Roses ballroom dance competition. This competition is open to all collegiate and non-collegiate amateur level competitors. We welcome all to compete and/or spectate.

As with last year's competition, we will offer a complete array of International and American Syllabus and Open events, an extensive selection of Nightclub dances, a Formation Team event, a Fun Team Match, and an Amateur Showcase.

This past year has been witness to the elevation of competitive ballroom dancing to a successful prime time television event with series such as ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." We hope that the success of these series will allow us to attract a greater number of spectators than in previous years so that they may have the pleasure of witnessing first-hand the intensity of competition.

Caltech is a renowned research institution nestled in the suburban community of Pasadena, CA. Aside from Caltech, Pasadena features many other cultural institutes-among them the Rose Bowl, the Tournament of Roses Parade, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Art Center College of Design, and the Norton Simon Museum of Art. We are also only minutes away from the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, CA.

Pasadena also has a plethora of ethnic cuisine restaurants concentrated in the Old Pasadena district. Shopping opportunities abound with stores along the South Lake Ave. District, Paseo Colorado, and Old Pasadena.
